Rodney Court Receives 2021 Preservation Achievement Award June 10, 2021
Collingswood, NJ – June 10, 2021- Ingerman, a leading developer, builder and manager of multifamily housing throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, received the 2021 Preservation Achievement Award for its efforts in revitalizing Birchwood at Rodney Court in Wilmington, Delaware.
Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia actively honors individuals, organizations, businesses, and projects throughout the Philadelphia region for outstanding achievements in historic preservation. The organization’s 28th Annual Preservation Achievement Awards selected Ingerman’s Rodney Court rehabilitation as its 2021 Grand Jury Award winner.
Birchwood at Rodney Court is comprised of 51 senior apartments throughout a six-story building located at 1100 Pennsylvania Ave in New Castle County, Wilmington. The senior housing community developed initially as a luxury apartment complex in 1928 for Dupont Company executives, underwent a massive transformation with the help of various project partners including The Richman Group, Architectural Alliance, Delaware State Housing Authority, City of Wilmington, Delaware State Historic Preservation Office, and several other lenders and contributors who helped make this rehabilitation possible.
