Ingerman Promotes Three Leaders to Executive Positions August 29, 2024
Collingswood, NJ – August 29, 2024 - Ingerman announced the promotion of three long-tenured staff members to new leadership positions within the organization. Mary French has been promoted to President of Ingerman Management Company, Tania Brown to Area Vice President of New Jersey, and Rob Carney to Lead Regional Maintenance Supervisor, effective immediately.
Mary French joined Ingerman 25 years ago as Property Manager at Mid-City Apartments in Philadelphia, PA. Shortly thereafter, she was transferred to Christian Street Apartments in Philadelphia, PA, where she worked for just over a year before being promoted to Regional Manager. During her time as Regional Manager, Mary oversaw properties in NJ, PA, DE, and MD with varying funding complexities including, market rate, affordable, RAD, and Public Housing. After several years of delivering of superior results, Mary was promoted to Director of Strategic Initiatives. In this role she continued to oversee a portfolio of properties while leading highly regarded company initiatives that positively impacted morale, retention, and Ingerman’s position in the industry.
In 2020, she was promoted to Area Vice President where she oversaw a highly successful team of 4 Regional Managers, 49 properties, and a total of 3683 units in New Jersey. Through her leadership, she has been able to foster the growth and development of team members throughout the organization who have been successfully promoted in their careers with Ingeman.
Mary currently serves on the Board of IREM Southern New Jersey, is the President of the Delaware Apartment Association, and also co-chairs charitable committees in PA and DE. Mary is an Accredited Residential Manager, a CPM Candidate, has her Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO), National Affordable Housing Professional (NAHP-e) and her Specialist Housing Credit Management Designations.

Tania Brown joined Ingerman in 2019 as a Regional Property Manager in New Jersey. During her time in this position she oversaw the performance of various portfolios and the successful completion of multiple lease-ups. She has a proven track record of creating long lasting relationships both internally and externally, and providing strong goal driven leadership, and guidance to her teams. Tania has earned her reputation for achieving positive results, exhibiting personal accountability, empathy, and the desire to help others grow and succeed.
In addition to Tania’s tenure with Ingerman, she has been an affordable housing industry professional for over twenty-five years. Tania possesses her New Jersey Real Estate License and is a Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) which is a specialized designation for property managers, asset managers and others working in the affordable housing industry through the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA). Additionally, she possesses the Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) and Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) certifications. Tania has served as a board member of the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA), an organization which represents all facets of the multifamily housing industry in New Jersey. Additionally, her career path has afforded her the opportunity to work in both the public and private sectors of the industry thus allowing her an in-depth perspective of the need for affordable housing. It is this insight that drives her level of commitment and dedication to this industry.

Rob Carney has been promoted to Lead Regional Maintenance Supervisor. In this role he will work closely with Mike Hubble, Director of Maintenance, as well as the regional and district maintenance team members in Central and North Jersey to assist with troubleshooting more technical work orders, to help plan and execute Capital Improvement Projects, to give guidance to team members, to prepare for NSpire Inspections, and to help with recruiting and onboarding of new team members to ensure we are always setting our teams up for success.
Rob has been in property maintenance for over 20 years. He started as a porter with Pennrose back in 1998. From there he explored various types of work in the trades before returning to the maintenance field in 2001 working for National Church Residences. While there he spent ten years with them at senior communities turning units preparing them for the next resident.
In 2012 he made the decision to join Ingerman. In his time with Ingerman he has significantly progressed his career. Rob said he feels that the education provided and opportunity afforded to him are unmatched by any of his previous employers. At Ingerman he feels like he is part of something, working for a great cause and united team, rather than just an employee.
