Ronen (“Ronnie”) Mitra joined Ingerman as General Counsel in 2016 and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the negotiation and drafting of a wide variety of agreements relating to the development, financing, construction, and management of Ingerman’s projects and properties. Ronnie specializes in the preparation, analysis, and negotiation of construction and permanent financing documents relating to the development of these projects, as well as the performance of closings relating thereto. Ronnie also provides strategic advice with respect to issues across the Ingerman portfolio, which include, among other things, real estate acquisition, joint ventures, regulatory matters, employee relations, and risk management.
Prior to joining Ingerman, Ronnie began his career as a public finance lawyer in a well-known New Jersey law firm, where he served as bond counsel to municipalities, counties, boards of education, the State of New Jersey, and various municipal and state authorities in connection with the issuance of approximately $1.2 billion worth of obligations, including general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, pooled financings, and various types of temporary financings and refinancings.
More recently, Ronnie worked in the Princeton, New Jersey office of one of the world’s largest law firms, representing commercial lending institutions in high-profile commercial real estate and corporate finance transactions. The breadth of Ronnie’s work while there covered the entire spectrum of real estate and corporate finance transactions, ranging from small, single-asset financings to large, sophisticated billion-dollar financings secured by hundreds of properties.
Because of Ronnie’s unique background and extensive training in public finance and real estate and corporate finance transactions, he brings a unique perspective to Ingerman which will be integral to its continued growth in the low-income housing arena and its increasing presence in the market-rate world.
Ronnie earned his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Bucknell University, having minored in mathematics, graduating cum laude. He received his J.D. degree from Villanova University School of Law.
