David Holden
Development Principal
David Holden, through his company JDH Affordable Housing, LLC, has been an Exclusive Strategic Partner of Ingerman since 2001. Previously, David served as director of development for Ingerman, where he was responsible for identifying and executing affordable housing development opportunities for the company.
He also previously operated an affordable housing consulting business and served as the director of housing for Connections Community Support Programs, Inc., for which he worked with social services agencies and developed special needs housing, homeownership opportunities and rental housing.
Prior positions also include having worked at Intrust, a NASD broker/dealer based in Wilmington, Delaware, where David acted as a key participant in the design and implementation of the company’s housing finance business in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He was specifically responsible for managing the acquisition process. David also previously served as a technical assistance provider for a HOPE VI project in Wilmington, North Carolina, where he worked on designing and implementing a supportive services program.
David began his career at John Stewart Company, an affordable housing developer and property manager in San Francisco, where he was responsible for project management, feasibility analysis, arranging financing and syndication. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia and a Master’s degree in City Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a concentration in Real Estate and Affordable Housing.
