Reliance Crossing Wins the Montgomery Award for Excellence June 20, 2017
Souderton, PA – June 20, 2017 – Reliance Crossing, an affordable multifamily rental community developed and managed by Ingerman, was recognized for Excellence in Planning and Design by the 2016 Montgomery Awards Committee and the Montgomery County Planning Commission (MCPC).
Reliance Crossing is an affordable rental community comprised of ten 3-story residential buildings, a community building with a management office and lounge, a playground, parking lot and recreational green space. The community consists of 56 two- and three-bedroom apartment and townhome rentals ranging from 1,000-1,350 square feet. Each unit has a private entrance, energy-efficient appliances, and its own balcony or patio. Additionally, the community offers many walkways, parking spaces and is convenient to downtown retail and transit stops.
The community caters to low-to-moderate income households based on Montgomery County income limits and was developed as a partnership with Ingerman, MBI Development and the Genesis Housing Corporation, along with the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency through a combination of HOME and Behavioral Health Developmental Disabilities funds provided by Montgomery County.
Reliance Crossing was designed to blend with the character of the neighborhood and enhance the affordable housing options in the region. Moreover, the building materials, lighting, architectural details and landscaping contribute to its sustainable design. The community held its grand opening in 2016 and was fully-leased by the end of that summer.
Reliance Crossing received the award “In recognition of the sensitive site design, appealing architectural details, and positive community impact. This well-designed housing community, which provides attractive affordable housing in Montgomery County, blends with the character of the neighborhood and has provided a significant economic investment in Souderton Borough,” stated the MCPC.
“Reliance Crossing is the result of extensive efforts between our borough, county and development partners. The community demonstrates how collaboration can benefit residents, the community and the county. We strive to maximize sustainability and economic growth with our communities and are thrilled and honored Reliance Crossing has been so well received,” said Todd Stecker, Director of Leasing and Marketing for Ingerman.
